Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has said the move to deport 2017 Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna to Canada under the cover of darkness is a shame to the African Continent.
Addressing the press in Amagoro after meeting Busia elders , the Governor said the deportation was a violation of his rights and wondered how Miguna Miguna could be branded a foreigner after participating in the Kenyan elections.
He called for urgent dialogue between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the “People’s President” Raila Odinga in order to end the current bad blood between the National Government and the opposition.
Miguna Miguna has given the eight crimes he claims have been committed against him. They include violation of his rights, ignoring court orders and use of hooded criminals to invade his home.
He blamed the Government’s decision to deport him to Canada, vowing to make those behind that inhumane act pay for it.
Miguna Miguna narrated his five days in custody before his dramatic deportation to Canada saying he was treated “like a beast.”
