Cooperatives in Bungoma County have swelled to more than 200 since 2013 when the county government came in operational.
Speaking to Sacco Review, Bungoma county chief officer in charge of cooperatives societies Mrs. Sella Mutsotso, reavealed that the move was engineered by county’s efforts to end poverty through channeling resources to enterprising.
‘’We’ve done much including training our stake holders on how to manage cooperatives societies order to ensure the growth of the industry,’’Sella said.
She further asserted that the same will be more than 500 by the year 2030.She also urged the people of bungoma to be hardworking and make Bungoma county grow faster economically.
