A section of contractors from Bungoma county has dismissed reports that a Bungoma based business tycoon enjoyed monopoly of tenders during the immediate former Governor Ken Lusaka tenure.
Speaking to this writer in Bungoma, several contractors claimed that the businessman poplar known as MPIG was awarded contractors basing of his firm qualification after undergoing laid procuring process.
They further revealed that M’Big Limited is a well known contractor in the county that had established itself even before the start of devolution.
However, this scribe confirmed that the company has been working in Bungoma long before devolution. The firm had worked in more than eight Constituency Development Fund (CDF) contracts.
